What Could Go Wrong? Real Stories from the Movie Set with Gordon Delgiorno: Gordon DelGiorno is a filmmaker, producer, and community organizer who has been a central fixture in Delaware’s independent film and creative media scene for over 25 years. Film Brothers Co-Founder of Film Brothers: Alongside his brother Greg, Gordon launched Film Brothers Productions in Wilmington, DE, in 1999. Gordon will take the audience on a ride about the process/funny background stories.

Beech Please with Maryanna Dose: Can plants go to the doctor? Yes! Well, kind of? Plants get sick like people do, from viruses, bacteria, fungi, various parasites, and environmental stressors. Right now, though, European and American Beech trees are essentially facing a pandemic. This presentation will cover what Beech Leaf Disease is, how it affects the trees, and what treatments have been proven to work (and which ones were wishful thinking).

The Birds and The Bees, but With Sharks pt 2 with Jess Myers: Whilst singing along to the doo doo doos, have you ever wondered how baby sharks are made? Want to become an expert on shark junk? Just curious about the creatures in general? Come learn about shark sex, fish milk, and more. This talk is a continuation from a presentation Jess did back in 2024.

  • Tickets are $12 for non-members, and $8 for DelMNS and Wilmington Brew Works members. Tickets can be purchased in advance through the Delaware Museum of Nature & Science website. All ticket proceeds benefit the museum, helping the museum achieve their mission of inspiring a passion for science learning.
  • Advanced ticket sales stop at 4:00 p.m. on the day of the event (but you can purchase tickets at the door – card only, no cash).
  • There is free parking on site and the 025 bus stops right out front of Wilmington Brew Works.
